Based in Ottawa, Canada, Hashbrown Hosting is a partnership between Zoom Photo Inc. and Hashbrown Interactive Inc. Started by Joe (Zoom Photo) in 2000 as Mtbhost, in an effort to expand the hosting offerings, partnered with Andrew (Hashbrown) to broaden what could be offered to existing customers as well as continue to add new customers.

Through Joe's many years of technical prowess looking after servers and putting together various web-based apps, and Andrew's many years of creating websites that required more and more from the hosting side of things (not to mention working on his own web-based apps and helping Joe make his a little sexier) they've decided to meet in the middle so-to-speak and join forces to offer the best damn hosting environment you can ask for—whether you're running a small family blog, a corporate website or a kick-ass web application.

We are 100% Canadian companies, however, our servers are located in the United States. Why? It all comes down to cost, it turned out after much research the best place for our systems to live was there. So, we're a Canadian company benefitting from the resources of the USA—sounds like the opposite of what you usually hear doesn't it!
